CME FX Products

CME is the largest market for exchange-traded foreign exchange (FX) futures in the world. Providing large and small companies with tools to hedge foreign currency risk, CME FX futures help facilitate cross-border trade and commerce without undue risks to profitability. Today, CME offers 37 individual FX futures and 24 options on futures products, all of which trade electronically on the CME Globex platform.

Record Month for CME FX
CME FX products in May 2006 averaged a record 501,000 contracts per day, up 69 percent compared with the year-ago period. In May, electronic FX products increased 90 percent to average a record 451,000 contracts per day compared with the same period last year. CME Euro FX futures reached a monthly average daily volume record of 204,000.
